Global Digital Identity For Financial Inclusion (GDIFI): Creeping In Like A Serpent

The other day someone asked for my “number” and like a bolt, it struck me. ‘I’ who had read Revelation chapter 13 have a number! Of course, he was asking for a mobile phone number registered to me. In the past, people asked for your telephone number, now they ask for your Number and these numbers are registered!

Global Numbering of people have crept in on us surreptiously. A time was in my country when we lamented paucity of telephone lines, now almost every adult and teenager has a number albeit a mobile phone number. But that was the beginning, now the buzz words in my country Nigeria are ‘Financial Inclusion’, ‘Mobile Banking’ with intention to capture all in the financial system.

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”(Revelation 13:16-18).

As Christ’s own, have we heeded his advice that we ‘watch’?(Matthew24:42; Luke 12:38; Colossians 4:2). Isn’t it a shame that we gladly get numbered without a thought for it? If we get numbered for a phone, aren’t we being numbered for financial or commercial reasons. Currently at sales counters, be it petrol station or mall etc, we are asked to provide a Personal Identification Number(PIN). Yes, this is a number we generated but very soon, a number will be generated for us by the system and we who “can’t be numbered” get numbered! Rev 7:9

For long, we have been number compliant, we have to be number sensitive especially when it has to do with commerce with digital identification. A personal experience about being sensitive. A brother pastor of mine is symbols sensitive and I felt he goes ‘overboard’. However, what a rude shock I got when in the last Olympics, a style of 666 was on the games flag. He had sensitized me to symbols around 666 as seen in public and private concerns. These things are all around us but if we are not sensitized, we cannot see them, same with numbering.

In and around 1970s, it was declared we are in the Digital Age meaning Numbering Age! How we missed this epochal transition because it was called digital. On my last check, numbers are also called digits, so let us brethren acknowledge it for what it is – Prophecy fulfilled! Just as in the days of Noah, we are buying and selling, marrying and giving in marriage. Now I see. See what? I see the ark of Noah being built. Thank God for ministries that specialize in Eschatology – End Time Studies (some pastors do not encourage eschatology, how about your Pastor?)

Who are the drivers of this Global Numbering phenomenon? Is it purely technologically driven? There are Enclaves at the top of the world pyramid advancing and driving these things. They created the buzz word“Financial Inclusion” and have other words like Global Citizen and wait for it ‘Digital Identity for Financial Inclusion’. See link https://www.gsma.com and to fulfill prophecy, everyone in the world, poor and rich, great and small MUST be captured. This has been achieved in OECD countries leaving largely Africa and Indo-Asia. Governors of the central banks belong to these enclaves and a lot of focus is now on Africa, India, Pakistan. Europe, American done deal!

There are other ‘creeping’ events of this Noahs times and given the grace by God they will be addressed in due course. However in summary, they include:

1. Resolution of the Middle East Crisis;

3. A Jewish temple in Jerusalem;

5. World Government Advocacy;

7. World Religion Advocacy.

Just as the 1st and 2nd World wars gave us the United Nations, A giant upheaval in the world including a financial upheaval might bring all these into being signaling the End of History as we know it.

Finally, the Revelation given in Book of Revelation Chapter 13 has these components:

1. It is global;

3. It is digital;

5. It is for commerce;

7. Religionists are involved – the false prophet and first beast on which the whore rides;

9. It will be taken on our person – right or left hand or forehead(Rev.13:16,17, 14:9).

All but the fifth component is fulfilled in Digital Identity for financial inclusion. It is global, it is digital, it is for commerce and the Pope is well involved, only the fifth component is yet to be implemented or made mandatory. However, the technologies for it are developed. They include Radio frequency identity(RFID) and Near Field communication(NFC), the implants are well developed.
