Israel: God’s Prophetic Time Piece

Israel is God’s prophetic time piece. The goings-on in Isreal foretell to a very large extent the nearness to the commencement of the 70th week of Daniel. These events which serve as prophetic markers are:

(1) The Ingathering Of The Exiles;

Began in the 19th century, and is on-going right to the present. The final ingathering of Jews to the Holy Land from the Diaspora will occur during the 45-day Restoration Period of the Kingdom, right after the Armageddon Campaign but before the commencement of the Millennial Reign of Christ.

(2) The Re-establishment Of The State Of Israel;

The modern state of Israel was established on 14th May, 1948 at the end of the British Mandate over Palestine.

(3) The Regain Of The Control Of Jerusalem.

The Jews regained control over Jerusalem on 6th July, 1967 at the end of the Six Day War.

The other four events relate to the Temple and also to the nation of Israel. These are,

(4) The Re-establishment Of The Sanhedrin;

The Sanhedrin, the Jewish Council of 70 elders has been reconstituted.

(5) The Appointment Of The Cohen Gadol;

The nascent Sanhedrin have appointed a Cohen Gadol(High Priest) from the family of Aharon.

(6) The Identification Of The Red Heifer(Hebrew: para aduma);

The red heifer has been found, and is being cloned for mass breeding using crowd funding.

(7) The Building Of The Third Temple.

The plan of the Third Temple has been drawn based on Ezek.40-43. All the materials needed have been procured and prepared. More than $100 million has been raised in preparation for the building of the Third Temple. What remains now is the opportune time.

The remaining two events are the establishment of the three-nation coalition which will be the arrowhead and power base of the Eighth And Final Beast Empire Of Satan which will persecute Isreal, the Jewish people, and the Christians(the saints of the Most High) in the last days: the signing and ratification of the Covenant Of Death as the prophet Isaiah describes it(Isa.28:14-18) or the Covenant Of Apostasy as Daniel describes it(Dan.9:27).

(8) The Establishment Of The Three-Nation Coalition;

This event is yet future.

(9) The Signing Of The Covenant Of Apostasy.

This event is yet future, but the preceding preliminaries are in progress at the moment.

(10) The Location Of The Ark Of Covenant

There is a tenth event. This event is the location of the Ark Of Covenant. There are any number of speculations as to the whereabouts of the Ark of Covenant. It is believed that the Ark Of Covenant was hidden in an underground vault in the Holy Of Holies of the Solomonic Temple when Israel was under siege by the Assyrian Monach Sennacherib in 701 BC(2 Kin.18,19; 2 Chron.32; Isa.36,37). So it was highly improbable that the Ark was taken by the Babylons in 586 BC when the Temple was destroyed by the forces of Nebuchadnezzar II. It was also believed to have been spirited away to as far away as Ethiopia, former Abyssinia. It is believed that the Ark Of Covenant is currently hidden in Ethiopia. The whereabouts of the Ark may not be known until the Third Temple is built, and the Ark Of Covenant of the God of Israel needed to grace the Holy Of Holies of the rebuilt Third Jewish Temple. This event as important as it is may not occur until we enter the 70th week of Daniel. Or it may not be revealed to the world at all. Any talk as to the whereabouts of the Ark Of Covenant Of The God Of Israel is mere speculation. If the Ark Of Covenant is not found, will a new Ark be built? Your view as good as mine.

Analysis Of The Situation

When we look at these events, we see that six(1-6) out of nine of them have been fulfilled. The three(7-9) remaining events are the establishment of the three-nation coalition and the signing and ratification of the covenant of apostasy or covenant with death, and the building of the Third Temple on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem. As per the building of the Third Temple, a plan has been drawn based on Ezek.40-43. All materials needed for the building of this Temple have been procured, and over $100 millions raised to set it at a moment’s notice. We have pointed out in the previous articles that the plan in Ezek.40-43 concerns the Fourth And Millennial Temple to be built by Jesus Himself, the Messiah of Israel and the Saviour of all mankind during the 45-day Restoration Period Of The Kingdom prior to the commencement of His Millennial Reign. There is no description of the Third Temple anywhere in the Scriptures. However, for the Jews to resume animal sacrifice, grain, and drink offerings, a Temple or a tabernacle like structure must be erected on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

The fact that the outer court is given to the Gentiles to thread under foot for 42 months may indicate that a full Temple may not be erected. For a full Temple to be erected, of the magnitude of the one described in Ezek.40-43, the Mosque Of Omer and the Al-Aqsa Mosque must be dismantled. This is a naughty issue that cannot be easily resolved. Therefore, it is possible to erect a makeshift Jewish temple on Mount Moriah without dismantling either of the two Islamic houses of worship on the Temple Mount inasmuch as the Holy Of Holies of the Solomonic Temple is neither in any of these two mosques as proven by the studies of Asher Kaufman but rather in the Dome Of The Tablets. It is likely that a compromise of sorts have to be reached on this issues once the Covenant Of Apostasy is signed and ratified. So, we eagerly await developments in these areas. With the warming up of relations between Israel and her Arab and Islamic neighbors of late, anything is possible. These changes in political pose were thought impossibly a while ago. There is nothing impossible, and the Scriptures must be fulfilled.

The Ark Of Covenant of the God of Israel will be needed to grace the Holy Of Holies of the rebuilt Third Jewish Temple on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem. Whether that event will be made known to the world is a different ball game altogether. Will a new Ark be constructed if the old is not located? That will be the headache of the San Sanhedrin and the Cohanim.
